Teachers may find it helpful to compare their own pupils' results with those of the whole
English-speaking cohorts who took World Class Tests at the given dates below. While the
results presented are interesting, it is important not to begin to draw any conclusions in
relation to the relative difficulty of the tests. The cohort of students taking the tests
is not controlled in any way and only the schools entering them have other information about
their levels of achievement.
From the point of view of teaching and learning, it is more interesting and important to
consider the qualitative, diagnostic information that can be obtained from the World Class
Tests group reports available for students who sit the tests. Visit
http://www.gl-assessment.co.uk/demos/testwise/ to
view a sample report. Additionally, teachers may find it helpful to focus on developing
students' high-level problem solving and mathematical skills by using other resources
published - for use in the classroom - under the World Class Arena label. See
Support materials for further information.
